Philippians 1:18–21 – “Let it Be” – Kerry Kaino

Discussion Questions:

1. Even while in prison, Paul focuses on “the important thing” (verse 18). What is of most importance to him? What things did he refuse to let get in the way of this “important thing”?

2. What things often compete in importance to us?

3. Paul has a sharp eye for the greater picture where he envisions God at work. In this way, his eyes are always lifted up to new horizons that are easily missed without eyes of faith. What are you looking at today? What do you see in your life situation as the new year begins?

4. When Paul writes, “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain” (verse 21), is he putting his sights on being hopeful, faithful, or both. What about you?
