Discussion Questions:
1. What do you see as the significance of bringing to the Lord an offering of the firstfruits?
2. In the offering of firstfruits, the people of God brought the first portion of the harvest for which they had been waiting for an entire growing season. It had finally arrived! Now they are called to bring it to the Lord as an offering. What are the feelings that the people might have had? Thanksgiving? Reluctance? Especially after 40 years of wandering in the desert?
3. What firstfruits do we have that we can bring to the Lord? What are some of the things that we can lift up and “wave” before the Lord?
4. In what ways can an offering of firstfruits change our attitude toward the things that we value?
