Mark 15:6–14 – “His Suffering” – J. P. Kang

Discussion Questions:

1. What is the most significant current (or chronic) source of suffering in your life? How have you been coping with it?

2. When you consider Jesus’s suffering before his death, whether by reading the gospels or by contemplating an artistic interpretation (painting, sculpture, film, etc.), what strikes you the most about his suffering?

3. Jesus’s suffering was for our sake (2 Corinthians 5:21)—for your sake! How does the knowledge of his painful sacrifice help you with your own, personal distress? How does Jesus’s example help you bear others’ hardships?
