1. Think of a time when someone noticed your suffering and reached out to help. What did you experience, and how did it change how you viewed that other person? (Read Exodus 3:7–8)
2. Moses and the Israelites sing a song to praise God’s faithful victory, but what is your favorite mode of celebrating God’s faithfulness? Singing? Dancing? Hiking? Playing? How does the activity help you experience God more fully (beyond “knowing” and “thinking”)?
3. Reflect on the various meanings of Hebrew hesed as an expression of God’s love for us, especially in Jesus.
