Japanese Presbyterian Church Capital Campaign 2024–2027: Building Belonging
In worship on Sunday, February 4, 2024, we officially began our “Building Belonging” Capital Campaign. Over the coming months, we will journey together through our campaign in participation and giving.
We pray God will call us more deeply into the heart and the love of Christ to continue Presby’s rich history of Building Belonging, to ensure a solid church home for all, to welcome and serve our community.
The purpose of our campaign is to raise financial support for a series of building repair and improvement projects which will strengthen our ability to welcome all in our community into our facilities. We are so grateful for our successful roof repair in 2023, which has turned out to be the tip of an iceberg of maintenance needs for our aging building — be on the lookout for specific details as our Session works with contractors to evaluate the building in the months to come.

Friendly campaign treasurer reminder: contributions to the Capital Campaign are over and beyond giving to Presby’s operating budget.

- Session created a Capital Improvement Projects Committee, to be co-chaired by two Elders, which will be responsible for the implementation of project contracts, and reports to the Session.
- Session approved moving forward with the schematic design phase for renovations to the foyer, kitchen, fellowship hall restrooms, foyer restrooms, parking lot fence, gates and signage. This does not commit us to doing all the projects.
- Session contracted Hoshide Wanzer Architects for Phase 1 Schematic Design.
